Our story begins with our kitchen and upcoming Christmas party that we were to host for the first time. For various reasons neither we nor our friends could spend that Christmas with families, nevertheless we wanted to make our guests cozy and cheerful, and we wanted to show them what Slavic Christmas Eve looks like — I’ll fast-forward and tell you at once that the best part of it is sitting around the table with people you love and talk till the morning while munching on cookies and pies, and sweet rolls, and buns, and sipping mulled wine. To put it differently — it’s MAGICAL. And who wouldn’t want magic being present in their lives all the time and not only at Christmas?

We dreamed, we planned, and we finally acted. So here comes the fruit of our labors — La Galletita: our family cottage bakery. La Galletita is a kind of treasury with countless Ukrainian, Slovak, and American recipes of deliciousness and good mood; and we make it in our kitchen with kindness and smiles, and you in our hearts.

Things that you’ll find in our store are made as if for the family: we try to avoid any kind of artificial additives and also bake with reduced amount of added sugars, which undeniably is better for your health.
